During the Asia Cup Super Four match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka that took place on Saturday at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed was successful in dismissing Sri Lanka batter Charith Asalanka early on in his innings. This brought the hosts’ score to four down for 144 after the end of the 32nd over. Bangladesh was playing Bangladesh.
Asalanka hit a single boundary on his way to scoring 10 runs off of 23 balls. He then looked to take on Taskin through the leg side, but the batter was fooled by Taskin’s slower off-cutter, which also managed to extract some extra bounce off the wicket. This led to Asalanka scooping the ball straight up, which Shakib Al Hasan was able to catch at mid-on.
