Bangladesh’s all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan jumped three spots to get back into the top 10 of the ICC ODI bowling rankings.

In the three ODIs against Afghanistan, the left-arm spinner took four wickets.

Liton Das, who was his countryman and took over as captain for the last two ODIs, moved up three spots to 38th in the batting rankings for ODIs after scoring a fifty in the third match on Tuesday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Afghanistan’s batter Ibrahim Zadran moved up 11 spots to 16th after scoring 142 runs in a 2-1 series win over Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Rahmanullah Gurbaz jumped 37 spots to 45th after scoring the most runs in the series, a total of 173 runs.

After taking eight wickets in the series, Fazalhaq Faroozi moved up 58 places to 33rd place, while Rashid Khan moved up three places to fourth place.

Travis Head, an Australian batter, has passed team mates Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne to move up to second place in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings. This is a career high for Head.

Head’s scores of 39 and 77 in the third match of the ICC World Test Championship series against England at Headingley have brought him within nine points of Kane Williamson’s 883 rating points, even though the top of the batting rankings are still very unstable and five of the top seven batsmen are playing in the current Ashes series.

Head’s previous best ranking was third, which he got after scoring 163 in the first test of the ICC World Test Championship Final against India last month.

After England won by three wickets and closed the gap in the series to 2-1, a lot of their bowlers moved up in the weekly report on Wednesday.

Harry Brook is now in 12th place, which is his best ever, after scoring 75 in the second innings. Captain Ben Stokes is in the top 20 for the first time since September after getting 80 in the first innings, and Zak Crawley is now in 48th place after scoring 33 and 44.

Stuart Broad and Mark Wood have moved up in the bowling rankings in a big way. Broad has moved up four spots and is now in sixth place. Wood has moved up nine spots and is now in 26th place. He has a career-high 591 rating points and seven wickets, including a five-for in the second test. Chris Woakes is back in the rankings at number 36 after getting three wickets in both of his games.
