Newcastle United FC (NUFC), a team in the English Premier League, has chosen Dr. Mehzeb Chowdhury to be a part of its Independent Advisory Group (IAG).
The hiring is a big step forward for Chowdhury, a worker from Bangladesh who works in the UK, especially in the football business, which has been one of the least diverse in the area.
Dr. Chowdhury is currently an Assistant Professor at Northumbria University. He has worked in many different fields, showing a strong commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. As an author, engineer, writer, director, and researcher, he will bring a unique point of view and information to the IAG. He will also help the Club with its sports goals.
Chowdhury will work with Newcastle United, its staff, management, and fans for the next three football seasons. He will help with important projects, such as match day experiences, stadium accessibility and safety, fan engagement, community outreach, and a number of equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Chowdhury was put on the Northumberland Football Association’s Inclusion Advisory Board (IAB) earlier this year. The Northumberland Football Association is the best group in England for developing and running youth football. His work there and at Newcastle United will give him an important point of view that will help form strategies and projects that support good practice and good governance at both the professional and local levels.
Chowdhury’s knowledge of how to find the most important problems and trends in affirmative actions will help create a culture of change. He worked for Goal.com, ESPN Bleacher Report, and Vital Football in the past.
