Phenomenon, lula weigh in on foreigner debate0

After the news that Carlo Ancelotti would be taking over as manager of Brazil’s national team full-time for the first time in the country’s history, an ongoing debate in Brazil reached a fever pitch on Friday, with two of the nation’s most prominent figures sharing differing opinions on the issue.

The debate centers on whether or not Brazil’s world-famous national team should depend on a foreign manager on a full-time basis for the first time in the country’s history.

Ancelotti is on track to become the first foreign manager of the Brazil national team since the Argentine Filpo Nunez in 1965, when he managed Brazil in a friendly match against Uruguay. Ramon Platero of Uruguay and Joreca of Portugal were the only other foreigners to serve, with Ramon Platero serving for a little less than a month and Joreca serving for just four days.

The choice of Carlo Ancelotti was criticized by Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the President of Brazil, who stated that Ancelotti would be better served addressing the issues facing the Italian national team.

The comments were made by Lula on Thursday to the Brazilian television station SBT. “I admire Ancelotti, but he has never been Italy’s national coach,” Lula said. “Why does he not resolve Italy’s problem, who did not qualify for the 2022 World Cup?” the 77-year-old said further. “Why does he not solve Italy’s problem?”

As a stopgap measure, Fernando Diniz, the coach of Fluminense, will take command of Brazil for their first qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup. Lula acknowledged that she was a supporter of Diniz. “I am a fan of Diniz,” she added. “He not only has the creativity, but also the personality, and as a result, he is the one who commands the dressing room.”

Ronaldo, earlier in the day, weighed in with a contrasting viewpoint on the topic.

O Fenomeno relayed Brazil’s coaching standards via the prism of Vinicius Jr. when speaking on the ‘Mano a mano’ podcast.

Vinicius Jr. was not prepared for the game, nor did his technical basics get any improvement. It was impossible for him to maintain possession of the ball with his left foot! “After spending his formative years in Spain, he has become the most decisive attacker in all of world football,” Ronaldo has remarked of Messi. “Vini had not been tuned when he came in Europe.

For a considerable amount of time, abilities have been ignored in the same way that rough gems are. His is a straightforward argument.

“He has made significant progress thanks to the use of expert techniques and the assistance of excellent professionals. In only the past two years, he has made the transition from water to wine. And Flamengo was the team he was playing for. They failed to provide him with enough training, and as a result, his left leg did not improve.

“In the First Division right now, we have eleven coaches that are from other countries. They have more of a plan in place than the Brazilians have. I am aware that they will blame me for it, as they will believe that I am lacking in patriotism and that I have a preference for people from other countries; however, that is not the case. “In my opinion, we need to seek out the most qualified candidates,” he stated.
