Mbappe calls psg 'divisive team'0

Kylian Mbappe has referred to his club, Paris Saint-Germain, as a “divisive team” in the midst of a contract stalemate between the player and the French Ligue 1 winners.

PSG and Mbappe’s relationship has deteriorated over the past month when the French striker said that he will not renew his contract, which is set to expire at the conclusion of the next season. This means that he will be able to depart for free in June of 2024.

If he plays out the last year of his contract, Paris Saint-Germain will not be able to reclaim any of the 197 million euros (180 million euros) that they invested to recruit him. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, has stated that they will not allow him to go without paying a fee.

Real Madrid has been mentioned in connection with a possible transfer for Mbappe, who has finished as the top scorer in Ligue 1 for each of the past five seasons.

In an interview with France Football magazine, he stated, “I think that playing for PSG doesn’t help much because it’s a divisive team, a divisive club,” which was a quote from his previous statement. He did not go into further detail.

Reuters attempted to get a statement from PSG personnel on Saturday, but they did not receive an instant response from them.

Mbappe is frustrated with PSG’s performances in the Champions League, which is a trophy the Parisian club has never won despite all of their investment in the squad. PSG have won nine of the previous 11 titles in Ligue 1, but Mbappe’s discontent rests with their results in the Champions League.

PSG was eliminated from the competition in the round of 16 this year after a loss to Bayern Munich in which the team failed to score in either of the two legs. Mbappe reported feeling “helpless” during the second leg after suffering an injury during the first game.

Mbappe claimed that he was the “most decisive player” in the group stage, but he was unable to explain what PSG were lacking despite the fact that the club had reached a “glass ceiling” in Europe.

Simply said, we did the best that we could. You need to have conversations with the individuals who choose the players for the team, who organize the group, and who construct this club,” he continued.
