The Indian women’s cricket team will travel to Dhaka on July 6 in order to compete in three Twenty20 Internationals and the same number of One-Day Internationals against the local Bangladeshi side at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The One-Day International (ODI) series will begin on July 16 after the conclusion of the Twenty20 International (T20I) series. This series will be played as part of the 2022–2025 ICC Women’s Championship, which will be competed for by 10 countries in order to decide qualifying for the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup.
This trip is the first series that Bangladesh will host as part of the Women’s FTP 2022-2025 that is being organized by the ICC.
In the ICC Championship, Nigar Sultana Joty and her team have not yet won a game despite playing New Zealand and Sri Lanka in two prior series. These series are part of the ICC Championship. The Tigresses were defeated in two of their matches, while the other four were rained out.
India is in first place with 12 points after six matches, while Bangladesh is in eighth place with three points. Bangladesh has played three matches.
