Following Bangladesh’s historic home Test victory over New Zealand on Saturday, the players are anticipated to get a bonus.

Jalal Yunus, the cricket operations chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), notified the media about the potential of the development after Najmul Hossain Shanto and his troops began their third cycle of the World Tests Championship (WTC) with a 150-run win over the victors of the inaugural WTC.

According to Jalal, the victory was a “significant accomplishment” and “much-needed” for the Tigers.

“Bonus is always on the tip of their tongue.” But that will happen, as I have spoken with the president of the BCB. “Once they arrive in Dhaka, he will have dinner with the team, and I believe there will be an announcement, and it’s (bonus) going to happen,” Jalal told reporters in Mirpur on Saturday.”I think it’s a big win, and more importantly, we beat New Zealand at home, which is a huge accomplishment.” As you are aware, New Zealand sent a full-strength team. Since it is part of the World Test Championship, they have covered every component of the pace, spin, and batting unit. Our boys played beautifully after that.

“This was a much-needed victory for us.” It’s a different feeling to be able to beat a big team like New Zealand,” he continued.

The prominent board director went on to say that the success against New Zealand shows that the Bangladesh Test team has enough depth in the pipeline.

“This victory shows that we have players in our pipeline, despite the fact that many have claimed that we lack depth in Test cricket.” Seven of the eleven players were not selected for the World Cup and are largely Test players, demonstrating that we have considerable depth in this format. “We also have a few players coming through who will make their Test debut very soon,” he continued.

Despite the absence of regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan and a few senior players from the game, Jalal praised skipper Shanto’s leadership abilities.
