The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) released a 15-man roster on Sunday for the ACC Men’s U-19 Asia Cup, which begins on December 8 in the UAE.

Bangladesh will be led by Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby and will compete in Group B against Sri Lanka, Japan, and hosts UAE.

The 10th edition of the tournament will kick off with a doubleheader at the ICC Academy Oval-1, featuring reigning champions India and Afghanistan. Pakistan will face Nepal in the other match at the ICC Academy Oval-2.

Bangladesh will open their campaign the next day at the ICC Academy Oval-1 against the UAE. They will play Japan on December 9 before concluding their group stage against Sri Lanka on December 13.

The semifinals will be held on December 15, with the grand finale planned for December 17.

India has won eight of the nine previous games, with Afghanistan collecting the trophy in 2017.

Bangladesh, who had previously reached the final on one occasion, were defeated by India by five wickets in the final of the 2019 editions of the tournament.

Rizan Hossain, Nayeem Ahmed, and Jehadul Hoque are on standby.
