Afghanistan rest rashid as bangladesh bowl to avoid whitewash0

Bangladesh were asked to bowl first by Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi as the hosts would aim to avoid a first home-series whitewash since 2014.

Bangladesh would be up for the task to prevent a whitewash after the plundering Afghans shook their great home record.

The tourists, though, were able to bench their two best players—leg-spinner Rashid Khan and fast bowler Mohammad Saleem. Abdul Rahman and Zia-ur-Rehman have taken their places in the starting XI.

After losing the second game by 142 runs, Bangladesh made three changes to the XI that played in the first game. Not only has Ebadot Hossain been given a break, but so have Mustafizur Rahman and Hasan Mahmud. The XI includes Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, and Taijul Islam.

Mohammad Naim, Litton Das(c), Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim(w), Afif Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Taijul Islam, and Mushfiqur Rahim(w) represent Bangladesh in this match.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Abdul Rahman, Zia-ur-Rehman, and Azmatullah Omarzai represent Afghanistan, while Rahmanullah Gurbaz (w) and Ibrahim Zadran (c) represent Pakistan.
