The captain of Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus, appeared disheartened after a 1-1 tie against VFL Bochum, a team that is currently struggling. This result gave the advantage in the race for the Bundesliga title back to the usual champions, Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund’s chances of winning the Bundesliga title were reduced after a 1-1 draw with Bochum, giving Bayern Munich an advantage.

Bochum, a team barely above the relegation zone, scored in the first five minutes of the game with a powerful shot from Anthony Losilla from outside the box.

Dortmund responded quickly, with Karim Adeyemi, a German forward, scoring by tapping in after the team completed a full-field maneuver, bringing the score to 1-1.

During the final minutes of the game, Dortmund dominated the Bochum penalty area and Mats Hummels scored a goal. However, the linesman immediately raised his flag as the defender was standing a half-meter offside.

If Bayern win against Hertha Berlin on Sunday, they will be one point ahead in their attempt to win their 11th consecutive title.

Dortmund entered the game with the knowledge that a victory would give them a lead of four points.

The team had not won any of their last five away matches and were playing against Bochum, who had been able to avoid being relegated because of their good performance at home.

Bochum took advantage of a nervous start by Dortmund and scored through Losilla, who connected with a poor clearance and fired the ball into the top left corner of the net.

Dortmund responded quickly by scoring a goal just 90 seconds after their opponent. Hummels made a skillful long pass to Malen on the right side, who maneuvered past his defender and passed the ball across the field.

Sebastien Haller redirected the pass with his toe, setting up Adeyemi to score and tie the game.

As the game neared its end, the Dortmund coach, Edin Terzic, made substitutions by introducing new players such as team captain Marco Reus and young forward Youssoufa Moukoko.

Moukoko, who scored two goals in a previous match between the teams, almost scored immediately in this match but was stopped by a quick save from Manuel Riemann.

Riemann once again saved Bochum by stopping a curling shot from English teenager Jude Bellingham with his outstretched hand less than a minute after his previous save.

Hummels scored a goal with only one minute left in the game, but it was disallowed due to offside, which made the visiting team’s fans happy and the Bavarian team’s fans celebrate.

Terzic argued with the referee, who then went to the sideline to clarify the decision to the Dortmund coach and also gave him a yellow card for protesting.
