In the fifth and final one-day international match of the series, which took place on Monday at the Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi, the Bangladesh under-19 squad was defeated by Pakistan by 80 runs.

After Pakistan recorded 244 for eight runs riding on two partnerships of 75 runs or more, the home team, who had already lost the series 3-1 heading into the series decider, were bowled out for 164 runs in 36.3 overs. This occurred after Pakistan had posted their score.

In their reply, Bangladesh continued to lose wickets at regular intervals, and at one point they were in a precarious position on 38 for four inside of nine overs.

Shihab James scored the most runs with 56, and he and Ahrar Amin, who was the captain, put up an 83-run partnership. Amin contributed 53 runs. Just three of Bangladesh’s hitters were able to reach double digits in terms of their score.

Both Arafat Ahmed and Ali Asfand collected three wickets for Pakistan throughout the match. The foreigners had earlier achieved a decisive victory against the youthful Tigers in the only four-day match by prevailing by ten wickets.
