Will tamim give up captaincy? 0

In spite of the fact that the Bangladesh squad did not engage in any formal training or media activities on Thursday, the One-Day International (ODI) captain Tamim Iqbal conducted an impromptu press conference, which piqued the interest of the cricketing community.

Late last night, at midnight, Tamim sent individual text messages to each of the journalists, inviting them to attend the news conference that he would be holding today at noon. The press conference was originally scheduled for 9:30 a.m., but it was moved to 1:30 p.m. and will now take place at the Tower Inn Hotel in Chattogram.

Tamim has been dealing with a back issue as of late, and his comment made just before the start of the first one-day international, in which he said that he was not completely fit and that he would evaluate his health after playing the first game, did not sit well with the board. Tamim claimed that he would review his condition after playing the first game.

Although Tamim was hesitant to remark on the cause for his surprise news appearance, sources close to the batsman told the media that Tamim has been contemplating making a choice on his leadership in the One-Day International format.

In the first one-day international, the left-handed batsman faced by Fazalhaq Farooqi was unable to create an impression with the bat, and as a result, he was removed for the fourth time in a row.

There were also rumors that the left-handed opener has been suffering through mental stress due to the problems he has been having with his fitness, which may push Tamim to make a significant choice.
