Mushfiqur Rahim of Bangladesh became only the second batter in Test history to be disqualified for disturbing the pitch in the second match against New Zealand on Wednesday in Dhaka.
Mushfiqur pulled the ball away with his gloves after defending a Kyle Jamieson delivery.
Such dismissals were previously classified as “handled the ball” until the Laws of Cricket were revised in 2017.
