After having arrived in England on Monday, the Bangladesh cricket team used yesterday as a day of relaxation and rehabilitation in Chelmsford. They are now in England to compete in a three-match one-day international series against Ireland, which will be a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
At the Leys School cricket pitch in Cambridge, the cricket players will begin their training today in preparation for their one and only practice match, which is set to take place on May 5.
Chelmsford is more than an hour’s journey from London, which is where Tamim Iqbal and company are residing at the moment.
All of the players have arrived safely, and they are looking forward to getting started with their training, according to Rabeed Imam, who is the senior media and communication manager for the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
During their day off yesterday, the cricket players took advantage of the opportunity to relax and explore the city.
The opening one-day international will take place between the tourists and Ireland on May 9. The second and third matches are scheduled to take place on May 12 and 14, respectively. The County cricket field in Chelmsford will serve as the location for each and every one of the matches.
