Today, on the second day of the only test being played at Mirpur, Bangladesh are in total command of their matchup versus Afghanistan.

After 36 overs in their first innings, the visitors are 144 for eight at Tea, which means they still need 39 runs to avoid being forced to follow on.

After the first session of the day produced seven wickets, the second session of the day saw a total of five wickets fall in addition to four falling within a period of 24 runs.

At the score of 128 for six, the number eight batsman, Amir Hamza (6), was out due to a crisp bouncer from Ebadot, and Mominul Haque at short leg performed a fantastic dive to his left in order to make a one-handed catch. While Ebadot took his fourth wicket, fellow quick Shoriful Islam had already taken two wickets earlier in the match.

Taijul Islam got his first wicket of the match with a flighter that resulted in a caught-behind dismissal, and Yamin Ahmadzai didn’t last long before he was out of the game.
