Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, believes that the club can entice additional “quality players” despite having difficulty convincing several transfer targets during the previous season. Hag’s goal is to return Manchester United to their former prominence in the Premier League.
Ten Hag, a former manager of Ajax Amsterdam, took over at Old Trafford last year and guided Manchester United, one of the fallen giants of English soccer, to the League Cup championship in February, thereby ending their drought of a major trophy that had lasted for the previous six years.
With United now sitting in fourth position in the league, the Dutchman has his sights set on qualifying the club for the Champions League for the next season. He is optimistic that a greater number of elite players would want to participate in the endeavor.
“In compared to the previous year, I see a significant change. Ten Hag told reporters before Saturday’s home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers that many players now recognize the vision, what is going on, the dynamic, and the ambition.
“When we approached players the previous year, there were a lot of reservations and doubts,” she said. This year, a lot of good players are showing serious interest in coming.
Ten Hag was responsible for United’s recruitment of players such as Casemiro, Antony, and Lisandro Martinez, as well as Christian Eriksen and Tyrell Malacia. There have been rumors that the club is interested in signing a number of players, notably striker Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
Ten Hag predicted that the upcoming season will have larger expectations, but the team was still making consistent development.
“We have to rebuild and reconstruct,” Ten Hag stated. “At this point, we are participating in the process and moving in the correct manner. That is very clear from the way that we play.
