Taskin Ahmed, a fast bowler for Bangladesh, hit Afghanistan twice in the Powerplay.
After the first six overs, Afghanistan was two down for 34 before rain stopped play at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday in the second T20I of a two-game series.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who was batting first, was taken out by Taskin in the very first over of the game.
Gurbaz edged one over third man for a maximum in the fourth ball of the over. In the next ball, he tried to pull a short one to the leg side, but it got too big for him, and he could only top edge it to the bowler as he was out for five-ball eight.
Taskin got his 50th wicket in a Twenty20 International, making him only the third bowler from Bangladesh to do so after Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman.
In the third over, the 28-year-old came back and hit the other starter, Hazratullah Zazai, for a five-ball four.
