Cricket West Indies and Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced that a series of three four-day matches between Bangladesh A and West Indies A will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, with the first match starting on May 16.

On May 11, the visitors will begin their matches in Sylhet, starting with a game in the Tiger’s den, and will continue to play all three matches there.

The second Test match will take place on May 23 and the tour will end with the third and final match starting on May 30, each lasting four days.

In August of 2022, Bangladesh A visited West Indies for a reciprocal tour, playing two four-day Tests and three fifty-over matches at the Daren Sammy Stadium in Saint Lucia.

Both the four-day Test series and the fifty-over series ended in a tie, with the last game being called off because of rain.

The CWI Manager of Cricket Operations, Roland Holder, emphasized that the upcoming series would give many players the chance to gain experience and improve their skills for international cricket, which is a key part of CWI’s dedication to developing talent.

We are happy to collaborate with the BCB to finalize the schedule for the upcoming Men’s ‘A’ Team Series. In the previous summer, we had a challenging five-match series with both red-ball and white-ball matches in Saint Lucia. This time, our players will have the opportunity to play in unfamiliar conditions, which is crucial for their growth and preparation for the international level. The series will provide them with more exposure and enable them to progress further after participating in the West Indies Championship and Headley Weekes Tri-Series.
