The Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) three-member special committee to probe the World Cup catastrophe met with Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha as the process of collecting statements from players and team personnel continues.
The committee met with the head coach in a city hotel. The Sri Lankan will go for New Zealand with the second batch of Bangladesh cricketers today.
Earlier, BCB president Najmul Hassan told the press on Saturday, “They [special committee] will prepare the report, and it’s a long procedure because they will talk with a lot of people.”
Officials from the BCB have also stated that there is no timeline for the special committee.
Bangladesh had its poorest World Cup performance since 2003, winning only two of nine matches and finishing eighth.
Following the World Cup, Bangladesh played a two-match Test series at home against New Zealand, which ended 1-1.
Earlier, skipper Shakib Al Hasan and team director Khaled Mahmud presented the BCB boss with their World Cup reports, while the committee met with several players and selectors prior to the Test series.
