In the first session of day four of the lone Test that took place at the Sher-e-Bangla National on Saturday, Bangladesh bowler Shoriful Islam took two wickets in two overs against Afghanistan batters Afsar Zazai and Bahir Shah in the 19th and 21st overs of the innings, respectively.
This took place in the 19th and 21st over of the innings.
Afghanistan went from being five down for 78 to being five down for 584, meaning they still needed 584 runs to win.
Zazai was struck out by Shoriful, who altered his throwing angle to get rid of the right-handed hitter. Shoriful’s strike was the decisive out. While Zazai was attempting to reach out for a wide one at the gully, he received a thick edge to Mehedi Hasan Miraz, which resulted in six runs being scored.
Bahir, who came in as a collision replacement for Hashmatullah Shahidi, was unable to navigate a bouncer outside off-stump as he edged it to Taijul Islam in the slips. Hashmatullah Shahidi was the captain of the team.
