Shakib, mushfiqur return to dhaka0

After their loss to Sri Lanka on Saturday night, Bangladesh’s two most experienced players, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan, took a three-day sabbatical from the team and then returned home to Bangladesh.

Mushfiqur has made his way back home to be with his wife as they welcome their second kid into the world.

After the loss, team captain Shakib stated that the squad required a “reality check” before competing in the World Cup. Mushfiqur traveled back to the United States on the same flight that Shakib did. Jalal Yunus, chief of cricket operations for the Bangladesh Cricket Board, stated that the reason Shakib is taking the leave of absence is due to personal issues.

Both cricketers are anticipated to join the team on September 13, the day before the Tigers’ last Super Four match, which will be played against India on September 15. In the next two days, there will not be any mandatory team training sessions held by the organization.
