Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das and Afif Hossain from Bangladesh have applied to join the player draft for the fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League.
The tournament is set to start on July 30 and three players from Bangladesh have been included in the draft. Other players have until May 15 to add their names to the draft. The draft will take place on June 4 for the LPL.
A team can have up to six foreign cricketers in their squad, but Shakib, Liton, and Afif may not be available for the whole tournament due to their national commitments.
Afghanistan will travel to Bangladesh in June for a series consisting of two Test matches, three One Day Internationals, and three Twenty20 Internationals.
In addition to the three main players, the LPL draft also included many other well-known players such as Matthew Wade, Shaun Marsh, Usman Khawaja, Lungi Ngidi, Imran Tahir, Naseem Shah, Wahab Riaz, Mitchell Santner, Kieron Pollard, and Dwayne Bravo.
