The 38-year-old is thought to have made a huge £107.5 million in the year running up to May 1, 2023. For the first time since 2017, he is at the top of Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid sports. But Ronaldo was at the top of Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid players for the third time.
He took the title from Messi, who made an estimated £103 million while still playing for Paris Saint-Germain and was the highest-paid player of 2022.
The record-breaking income of the Al Nassr hero comes from £35 million in on-field wages and £68.5 million from advertising.
On-field earnings include wages, award money, and bonuses. Off-field earnings include business deals, performance fees, merchandise sales, and income from licenses.
