Rashid Khan, Afghanistan’s premier cricketer who had to sit out the lone Test match in Mirpur due to a back ailment, has been included in the team that will face Bangladesh in the one-day international series that will consist of three matches.

The one-day international series will be place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from July 5 to July 11.

Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are two of the players included in the 18-man roster that was revealed by the selectors for the Afghanistan national team. The team will be captained by Hashmatullah Shahidi.

Izharulhaq Naveed, a leg-spinner who has yet to earn a cap but did well in the most recent Big Bash, was selected for the ODI team. In addition to Shahidullah and Zia-ur-Rehman, Wafadar Momand, Mohammad Saleem, and Sayed Shirzad are the other new players that have been recruited to the team that has just returned from a tour of Sri Lanka.

Karim Janat, Gulbadin Naib, Naveen-ul-Haq, and Darwish Rasooli are among the ten players that the Afghanistan Cricket Board has selected to serve as their reserves for upcoming one-day internationals and the World Cup later this year. These players were picked by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

The one and only test match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh came to a close yesterday with Afghanistan being defeated by a record-setting 546 runs. After the conclusion of the ODIs, two Twenty20 Internationals will be played in Sylhet involving the visiting team.
