No kohli in next t20 wc? 0

Virat Kohli is apparently not in India’s plans for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup next year, with team management preferring to play Ishan Kishan in the one-down position in place of the seasoned batter.

Several Indian media sites reported this development on Thursday, following a recent meeting in New Delhi between BCCI high brass and India captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid, and chief selector Ajit Agarkar.

The meeting was designed to establish a timetable for the next T20 World Cup, which will be hosted in the Caribbean islands and the United States next year.

According to the Indian Hindi language publication Jagran, a BCCI official present at the meeting stated that Kishan appears to be the frontrunner in the Number three slot, not Kohli, who has the most runs in T20Is with 4008 runs.

The BCCI is scheduled to meet with Kohli to discuss his future in T20Is.
