The International Cricket Council (ICC) disclosed on behalf of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) on Tuesday that eight players, officials, and club owners had been charged for violating different sections of the Anti-Corruption Code during the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 League, including Bangladeshi batsman Nasir Hossain.
The competition was held from November 19, 2021, through December 4, 2021. In the competition, six teams participated.
They have to do with efforts to taint the league’s matches. These efforts were impeded. ICC was designated by the ECB as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official (DACO) for the competition in accordance with the ECB’s Code. As a result, the ECB issued these charges via ICC.
Three charges were brought against all-round player Nasir for accepting a gift and not disclosing it. The following are the charges:
Article 2.4.3 – Withholding a contribution of more than $750 from the DACO.
Failure to fully notify the DACO of any approaches or invitations received to participate in corrupt conduct as defined by the Code is outlined in Article 2.4.4.
Failure or refusal to assist with any DACO inquiry into potential corrupt conduct under the Code, without a compelling reason, as outlined in Article 2.4.6.

Krishan Kumar Chaudhary, a team co-owner:
Article 2.4.5: Failing to provide the DACO with complete information of any event, fact, or issue that comes to their knowledge and might be used as evidence of corrupt conduct by another participant in accordance with the Anti-Corruption Code.
Failure or refusal to assist with any DACO inquiry into potential corrupt conduct under the Code, without a compelling reason, as outlined in Article 2.4.6.
Under the Code, obstructing or postponing a DACO investigation into potential corrupt conduct is covered under Article 2.4.7.
Parag Sanghvi, a team’s co-owner:
Betting on outcomes, developments, behavior, or any other element of domestic and international matches is covered under Article 2.2.1.
Failure or refusal to assist with any DACO inquiry into potential corrupt conduct under the Code, without a compelling reason, as outlined in Article 2.4.6.
Coach of batting, Ashar Zaidi:
Participating in an effort to rig, manipulate, or inappropriately influence games or parts of games in the Abu Dhabi T10 2021 is defined as Article 2.1.1.
Directly or indirectly requesting, provoking, luring, directing, convincing, encouraging, or purposefully aiding any Participant in violating Article 2.1 is prohibited under Article 2.1.4.
Failure to fully notify the DACO of any approaches or invitations received to participate in corrupt conduct as defined by the Code is outlined in Article 2.4.4.
Rizwan Javed, a homegrown athlete:
Participating in an effort to rig, manipulate, or inappropriately influence games or parts of games in the Abu Dhabi T10 2021 is defined as Article 2.1.1.
Giving a reward to a participant in return for that player using corrupt behavior is covered in Article 2.1.3.
Directly or indirectly requesting, provoking, luring, directing, convincing, encouraging, or purposefully aiding any Participant in violating Code Article 2.1 is prohibited under Article 2.1.4.
Failure to fully notify the DACO of any approaches or invitations received to participate in corrupt conduct as defined by the Code is outlined in Article 2.4.4.
Failure or refusal to assist with any DACO inquiry into potential corrupt conduct under the Code, without a compelling reason, as outlined in Article 2.4.6.
Player Saliya Saman (from within):
Participating in an effort to rig, manipulate, or inappropriately influence games or parts of games in the Abu Dhabi T10 2021 is defined as Article 2.1.1.
Giving a reward to a participant in return for that player using corrupt conduct as defined by the code is covered in Article 2.1.3.
Directly or indirectly requesting, provoking, luring, directing, convincing, encouraging, or purposefully aiding any Participant in violating Code Article 2.1 is prohibited under Article 2.1.4.
Coach Sunny Dhillon, assistant:
Participating in an effort to rig, manipulate, or inappropriately influence games or parts of games in the Abu Dhabi T10 2021 is defined as Article 2.1.1.
Failure to fully notify the DACO of any approaches or invitations received to participate in corrupt conduct as defined by the Code is outlined in Article 2.4.4.
Failure or refusal to assist with any DACO inquiry into potential corrupt conduct under the Code, without a compelling reason, as outlined in Article 2.4.6.
Player from Bangladesh, Nasir Hossain:

Krishan Kumar Chaudhary, Parag Sanghvi, Azhar Zaidi, Rizwan Javed, Saliya Saman, and Sunny Dhillon are the six accused. They have all been placed under temporary suspension and have been given until September 19, 2023, to reply to the accusations.
