Wasim Akram, the legendary bowler and former captain of Pakistan, felt that India’s home series against Australia was pointless since it was crucial to keep players fresh for the World Cup.
India and Australia will play a three-match ODI series at home beginning on Friday. On September 24 and 27, there will be the second and third ODIs.
The Men in Blue take face the same opponents in Chennai on October 8th in their World Cup debut. Although the series is ‘unnecessary’ since it might make Indian players more exhausted, Wasim believes it is an important part of the preparation for the ODI World Cup. Prior to the Asia Cup, the team undertook a two-week tour to the West Indies, having been on the road since August. Given the short turnaround between the World Cup and the Australia ODI series, Akram thinks it would not be ideal for Indian players to participate in the bilateral series.
India offers a variety of locations and travel options. A day passes (between each match). Energy conservation is necessary before to the World Cup. No idea why they are doing three One-Day Internationals. Although it was presumably completed a long time ago, it wasn’t really essential. Prior to a major event in which you are the favorites at home, you don’t want to be exhausted. In response to India’s victory in the Asia Cup final, Akram remarked on Star Sports, “If you want some more players in the squad, you can play those in the three ODIs against Australia.”
Before the World Cup, Team India will play two warm-up matches against England on September 30 and the Netherlands on October 3. Four days later, Team India will play Australia in the tournament proper. The legendary match between the team and Pakistan, their bitter rivals, is held in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
