Mushfiqur Rahim was unable to conjure any heroics for the Joburg Buffaloes as they suffered a seven-wicket loss to Cape Town Samp Army in their Zim Afro T10 league game on Sunday at the Harare Sports Club.

The game was played at the Harare Sports Club.

Mushfiqur, the wicketkeeper-batsman for Bangladesh, made an unbeaten 23-ball 46 to win the match over Taskin Ahmed’s Bulawayo Braves last Friday. However, on Sunday, he could only knock an unbeaten 16 from 13 balls for Joburg Buffaloes, which included two boundaries. Joburg Buffaloes reached 96 for five in 10 overs.

The chase was a breeze for the Cape Town Samp Army, who were able to finish it off in 7.4 overs due to an opening batsman named Tadiwanashe Marumani who scored 54 off only 24 balls.

Taskin did not participate in Bulawayo Braves’ match against Durban Qalandars, which took place later at the same site and ended in a loss by 25 runs.
