Masood takes five as tigers get bundled out for 3820

In the first session of the second day of the lone Test match being played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday, Afghanistan bowler Nijat Masood claimed five wickets to put a limit on Bangladesh’s batting attempt.

The match is being played between Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

The home team was only able to add 20 runs to their score from the previous day, which resulted in them being bowled out for 382 as the Afghan fast bowlers ramped on the pressure, particularly after getting the new ball just one over into the beginning of the game.

As a result of Masood’s elimination of Mushfiqur Rahim and the rest of the tail, Yamin Ahmadzai was able to get rid of Mehedi Hasan Miraz. This elevated Masood to the position of chief destroyer. The quick bowler ended with stats of five wickets for 79 runs, which assisted his team in sweeping the opposition in only seven overs.

Miraz was the first person to be eliminated. Spooned a full-length delivery outside off-stump to backward-point off the bowling of pacer Ahmadzai by the right-handed hitter.

The key to Masood’s victory against Mushfiqur was a back-of-a-length ball that rose sharply off the wicket. This allowed him to take control of the match. This caught Mushfiqur by surprise, and the batsman was unable to react, so all he could do was fend at it as it took the edge off the shoulder of the bat and went to second slip.

During the same over, Taijul hit a short one straight to short-leg.
