According to reports from British media on Saturday, Manchester United have reached an agreement to recruit Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta on a five-year contract with the option of an additional season. Hojlund will come to Manchester United from Atalanta.

According to the sources, the player, who is just 20 years old, will transfer to Old Trafford in a deal of 72 million pounds ($92.52 million). This would make him United’s sixth most expensive acquisition in the club’s history.

At the beginning of the 2022–2023 Serie A season, Hojlund signed with Atalanta after previously playing for FC Copenhagen and Sturm Graz. In his first season with Atalanta, he had a breakthrough year, scoring nine goals in the league.

After acquiring Mason Mount from Chelsea and goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan, he becomes Manchester United’s third acquisition of the transfer window. Mason Mount came from Chelsea, while Andre Onana came from Inter Milan.

The previous year, United achieved a third-place finish, which qualified them for the Champions League. In February, they also triumphed in the League Cup competition.
