If stokes texts me again i'll delete it, says moeen0

Moeen Ali, a spinner for England, said on Monday that he will not be coming out of retirement again after helping England level the Ashes series against Australia 2-2.

Moeen, who is 36 years old and retired from test cricket two years ago, was brought back into the team in June when Jack Leach sustained an injury after receiving a text message from captain Ben Stokes. Moeen played in four of the five matches that were part of the series.

As a result of an injury sustained by Ollie Pope, he was forced to go up the batting order and batted at number three. Despite sustaining a groin injury, he grabbed three wickets on the last day of the test match at The Oval, helping England to win by 49 runs.

“That’s me done,” Moeen said to Sky Sports when the match was over. “If Ben Stokes texts me, I won’t read it because I’ll delete it.”

Moeen has participated in 68 tests, during which he has scored more than 3,000 runs and taken more than 200 wickets. In addition, he has played in 129 one-day internationals and 74 Twenty20 Internationals.
