Lamichhane sentenced to eight years for rape: official

Sandeep Lamichhane, a former cricket captain, was given an eight-year jail term for rape on Wednesday by a Nepali court.

“The court has sentenced him for eight years,” Ramu Sharma, an officer from the Kathmandu district court, told AFP.
