Bangladesh’s left-back Isa Faysal will make his international debut against Lebanon in the opening encounter of Group B of the SAFF Championship at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, India, today.
The contest will begin at 4:00 p.m. (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Tapu Barman, who missed the last FIFA-friendly match on June 15 against Cambodia due to a hamstring injury, has also returned to the starting lineup.
Javier Cabrera, the head coach of Bangladesh, made two substitutions to the starting eleven that defeated Cambodia 1-0 in a friendly.
Bishwanath Ghosh will operate as the right-back, while Tariq Raihan Kazi will partner with Tapu.
Mohammad Sohel Rana and Sohel Rana will situate themselves in front of the back four, while Suman Reza will be in front of Mojibur Rahman Jonny, Jamal Bhuiyan, and Faisal Ahmed Fahid.
On the eve of the match, team manager Amer Khan told The Daily Star that the coach selected the starting eleven with a counterattacking strategy in mind.
