Dambulla Aura beat the Jaffna Kings on Monday at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium. Towhid Hridoy’s run of big games came to an end when he was out for a golden duck.
In the third over of the game, Hridoy, who came in at number three, was out when he tried to hit left-arm pacer Binura Fernando over midwicket but only managed to top-edge it to deep square-leg.
The 24-year-old’s LPL season got off to a great start when he hit a fifty in his first game. Then he got a 24, 44 not out, a 19, and finally a nought for today. This gave him 141 runs for the event as a whole.
