It’s still all there in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo still has the ability to enthral supporters and football enthusiasts at the age of 38. The Portuguese sensation beat Al Akhdoud 3-0 in the Saudi Pro League Wednesday, scoring a brace in just three minutes, one of which came from roughly thirty metres away.

Ronaldo’s late surge to secure all three points on the night in Riyadh has allowed Al Nassr to cut the title gap to one point behind leaders Al Hilal. Al Nassr is still in second place on the standings with 34 points from 14 games, only behind Al Hilal, who have 35 points from 13 games.

Al Nassr took the lead in the 13th minute thanks to a goal from Sami Al-Najei, but Luis Castro’s squad lost direction after that. Ronaldo, on the other hand, secured his side a victory in the second half by scoring two important goals.

In the 77th minute, Ronaldo scored his first goal after a bullet effort from inside the area went through three defenders and the custodian.

But Ronaldo was still saving his best for the match. Ronaldo ended the match in the 80th minute with a daring attempt from 30 metres away. In an attempt to clear the ball from the defence, keeper Paulo Vitor moved out of position. However, Ronaldo’s clearance bounced to him from 35 yards out, and he finished spectacularly.

With four goals in his last three league games, Ronaldo has now increased his season total to 15 goals from 13 Saudi Pro League games.
