East Zone finished the day on 108 for 3, chasing a short total of 149, with Amite Hasan and Shamim Hossain not out on 40 and 37, respectively.
Earlier in the day, Central Zone grabbed a 23-run advantage in the first inning after bundling out East Zone for 257.
East Zone rallied back magnificently, bundling out Central Zone for 125 runs in 38.2 overs, with to Nayeem Ahmed’s four-wicket haul and bowler Khaled Ahmed’s three wickets.
North Zone achieved 277 for 3 in their second innings at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and leads South Zone by 253 runs after the third day.
Abdullah Al Mamun is 13 runs short of his second first-class century, having resumed the final day on 87 off 217 deliveries, while Akbar Ali was unbeaten on 62 off 84 balls.
Earlier, South Zone grabbed a 24-run advantage in the first innings, scoring 243 to North Zone’s 219.
