Dhoni eyes return next year0

After leading Chennai Super Kings to a record-equaling fifth title over Gujarat Titans in what many assumed to be his final match, Indian cricket legend M.S. Dhoni stated that he will want to return for the following season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Ravindra Jadeja smashed a six and a four off the final two balls as Chennai chased down their revised total of 171 in 15 overs with five wickets to spare in a rain-affected final that ran until 1.30 in the morning local time on Tuesday in Ahmedabad on a reserve day following a washout on Sunday. This allowed Chennai to complete their run chase and win the match.

Cameos from Ajinkya Rahane (27) and Shivam Dube (who scored an unbeaten 32) helped set the platform for Jadeja’s heroics after New Zealand’s Devon Conway took the lead in the chase with his score of 47 off of 25 balls.

at the twelfth and final over, with the team needing 13 runs to win, Mohit Sharma delivered four quality deliveries before Jadeja made the winning run to set off wild celebrations at the largest cricket stadium in the world.

“I have decided that now is the ideal moment to announce that I will be retiring. But the amount of love that has been shown to me from everywhere. “The easiest thing to do would be to walk away from here, but the more difficult thing to do would be to work hard for nine months and try to play in another IPL,” Dhoni, who is now 41 years old, remarked.

“It wouldn’t be easy on the body, but it would be a gift from me,” she said. You do find yourself becoming emotional, especially during the first game you play for CSK when everyone is shouting your name. My eyes were streaming with water, and I wanted to take a break in the dugout.

The victory gave Chennai their fifth title overall, tying them with Mumbai Indians for the most all-time.

Dhoni continued to draw massive audiences wherever he played this season, and in the final, more than 80,000 people showed their support for the veteran player, who had just recently said that he will make a decision about his future later this year.

Dhoni was playing in his 250th Indian Premier League match when he was run out for a duck on the first ball he faced. He went back to a horrified silence, but in his 10th appearance in the final as Chennai captain, he had the last laugh.

“Win together, lose together” is a popular saying.

Ambati Rayudu, who had already stated his intention to retire before the championship match, scored a crucial 19 off eight balls in his farewell match.

Players had to leave the field due to rain when Chennai’s batting innings had three balls remaining and they were four up without losing a wicket.

The deluge lasted for approximately 15 minutes, but coverings came off of one of the pitches, causing it to become wet. The groundstaff labored for more than two hours to make the field ready for play after the rain stopped.

Sai Sudharsan hammered 96 runs off 47 balls to lead Gujarat, a team that won the title in their maiden season in the T20 league the year before and finished on top of the table in this iteration, to a score of 214-4.

According to the team captain, Hardik Pandya, “I think we tick a lot of boxes as a team.”

“We play with a lot of heart, and we are extremely proud of the way that we continued to fight.” Our guiding principle is “we win together, and we lose together.”

Shubman Gill, an opener for Gujarat who has been in good form recently, smashed a 39 off 20 balls and was voted most valuable player. He also earned the orange hat as the leading batsman with 890 runs.

Mohammed Shami, a speed bowler for Gujarat, took the most wickets during the tournament with 28, edging out colleague Sharma and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, both of whom finished with 27. Shami was awarded the purple cap for his performance.

Deepak Chahar mishandled an easy catch off the quick bowling of Tushar Deshpande, which resulted to Gill being stranded on three despite having just completed his third century of the season.

The opening hammered Deshpande for three consecutive boundaries in the following over and kept up the attack with frequent smashes to the boundary till Dhoni’s lightning quick glovework sent back the batter, stumping him off Jadeja. Before that, the opener smacked Deshpande for three straight boundaries in the next over.

Wriddhiman Saha, another opener, scored 54 runs, and he and Sudharsan, who took command after their previous partner left the game, put together 64 runs.
