The dismissal of New Zealand batsman Chad Bowes in the eighth over of the innings during the second one-day international (ODI) of the three-match series between the two nations at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday was the perfect way for Bangladesh bowler Khaled Ahmed to make his One-Day International (ODI) debut and claim his first wicket.
New Zealand had three wickets down for 36 after eight overs. Bowes, who scored 14 runs off 19 balls with three fours, sought to whip away off his leg a back-of-a-length delivery but instead found Towhid Hridoy at square leg. Bowes then walked back, putting New Zealand in this position.
