Alphonso Davies, a full-back for Bayern Munich, will not be able to play in the team’s upcoming matches due to a hamstring injury, as stated by the German club on Sunday.
Davies got injured during their defeat to Mainz on Saturday.
The defender from Canada was replaced after only nine minutes against Mainz due to an injury to the back of his left hamstring.
Bayern announced that Davies will not be able to play in the upcoming matches.
Throughout all competitions this season, the 22-year-old has appeared in 38 matches for Bayern.
Davies participated in all three of Canada’s matches during the World Cup last year and managed to score their inaugural goal at the event.
On Saturday, Bayern fell one point behind Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga standings, with only five games left to play.
