The Bangladesh Football Federation formed a committee on April 17 to investigate financial misconduct by former general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, as reported by FIFA. The committee has been instructed to submit their findings within 30 days.
Despite having a 10-member investigation committee, they have not been able to meet for the past 10 days to discuss the matter. Additionally, two vice presidents, Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan and Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi, have withdrawn from the committee due to personal reasons, making the situation more complicated.

The head of the investigation committee, Kazi Nabil Ahmed, stated that they cannot have a discussion about the proceedings until May 2 when the BFF executive committee meeting is scheduled.
Kazi Nabil Ahmed has returned home and found out that he is the convener of an investigation committee. Two members have already left the committee, and he has spoken to the BFF president about it. The BFF executive committee meeting will be held in a few days, and they want to discuss the matter before the investigation committee meets. Two members are currently out of the country due to the Eid vacation.
He stated that the decision of whether to replace two members or keep the existing ones for the matter at hand will be made by the executive committee, not him.
Manik proposed to terminate all BFF employees who were summoned by FIFA to address irregularities, but his suggestion was not considered by the executive committee. Mohi also raised concerns about financial irregularities during the BFF elections, but his claims were ignored. Despite this, Manik later withdrew from the committee for personal reasons.
