Bcb forms committee with three directors to probe world cup debacle0

According to a press statement from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), a three-member special committee has been created to investigate the performance of the Bangladesh national team in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup India 2023.

Enayet Hossain Siraj (convenor), Mahbubul Anam (member), and Akram Khan (member) are BCB directors on the committee.

The committee’s goal is to investigate the circumstances contributing to the team’s poor performance in the competition, and it will then offer its conclusions to the board, according to the announcement.

Bangladesh finished eighth out of ten teams in the tournament, winning only two of their nine matches despite having voiced ambitions of reaching the semifinals.

The controversy surrounding Tamim Iqbal’s removal and his public disagreement with skipper Shakib Al Hasan dominated the build-up to the World Cup.
