Bangladesh to get $100,000 from world test championship0

In conjunction with New Zealand, Pakistan, and the West Indies, the Bangladesh Cricket Board will be awarded a total of one hundred thousand dollars as part of the ICC World Test Championship. This is the fourth-smallest share of the overall prize money of 3.8 million dollars.

Bangladesh came in ninth place out of a total of nine teams that competed in the Championship. The championship match between India and Australia is scheduled to take place at The Oval in London from June 7 to June 11.

The champions of the World Test Championship will split a prize pool worth $1.6 million between them. The consolation prize for the losing finalists is $800,000.

The prize pool for this competition – ICC World Test event 2019-21 – is identical to the one that was offered for the first ever iteration of the event.

After defeating India by eight wickets in the six-day final in Southampton two years ago, the New Zealand team led by Kane Williamson was awarded $1.6 million in addition to the dazzling Mace trophy.

Each of the nine competitors in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 will get a portion of the total prize pool of $3.8 million. By coming in third place in the standings for the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23, South Africa was awarded a prize worth $450,000.

With a more aggressive playing style towards the conclusion of the two-year cycle, England was able to make a late comeback and finish in fourth place, earning them a prize of $350,000.

After losing the series they were playing in New Zealand, Sri Lanka fell to the fifth position in the rankings, which means they are no longer in the contention for a seat in the final. Their portion of the prize money amounts to $200,000.
