Arsenal agree deal for rice: reports0

According to reports in British media, Arsenal and West Ham United have struck an agreement for the transfer of midfielder Declan Rice, which will reportedly be for more than 100 million pounds ($127 million).

According to reports in The Guardian, the 24-year-old England international had been granted permission to have a medical checkup this week in advance of his relocation across London.

According to the source, West Ham had agreed to accept an offer that was worth 100 million pounds plus 5 million in add-ons. The guaranteed component of the sum was supposed to be paid in three payments spread out over the course of two years.

Reuters has attempted to get a reaction from both of the teams.

Rice’s current contract has one year left on it, and West Ham has the option to extend it for a further 12 months. However, West Ham chairman David Sullivan said a month ago that due to a gentleman’s agreement, Rice is free to quit the club.

Rice moved from Chelsea’s youth program to that of West Ham when he was a youngster and has been a staple at West Ham ever since his breakout season in 2017-18. He has appeared in more than 200 games for the club and was an important contributor to their success in the Europa Conference League only a month ago.
