On Friday, Abahani defeated Keraniganj Cricket Academy by a score of seven wickets to get off to a winning start in the Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League. The match took place at the BKSP-3 ground in Savar.
After being put in charge of the defense first, Keraniganj were bowled out for 105 in 48.3 overs. Shahnaj Parvin, who also opened the batting, led the team in scoring with fifty runs off of a total of 140 balls. Only one of the batters, Shahnaj, was able to achieve double figures in terms of their score.
For the team that was bowling, Sandiha Islam Asha was responsible for three wickets, while Sabekun Nahar was responsible for two.
In his reply, Abahani batted for 20.5 overs and successfully chased down the target. After hitting a team-high 44 off 56 balls with six fours, opener Mushida Khatun Happy stayed not out. Her total was not out.
