Bpl’s relegation battle heats up0

Chittagong Abahani, Rahmatganj MFS, and Muktijoddha Sangsad are battling it out to stay in the top tier of Bangladeshi football despite the fact that the champion of the Bangladesh Premier League has already been determined. This has caused the relegation struggle to become more intense.

Today at Munshiganj, Chittagong Abahani and Rahmatganj battled to a 2-2 draw at the Birshreshtha Flight Lt Matiur Rahman Stadium. Chittagong Abahani battled back from a goal deficit in the second half.

After an unremarkable first half, Rahmatganj took the lead against his previous squad thanks to a goal scored by Nigerian striker Ebimobowei Thankgod in the 57th minute. However, the team from the port city responded inside five minutes with a goal from Iqbal Hossain, followed by a goal from Nigerian Ojukwu David in the 65th minute to take the lead.

In the 84th minute, as Rahmatganj was desperately trying to get an equalizer, Ashraful Islam scored a goal that proved to be decisive.

The outcome of the match means that Chittagong Abahani and Rahmatganj are currently level with 18 points after playing the same number of matches.

At the Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh, Muktijoddha were on the receiving end of a devastating 6-1 loss to Police FC. They had the opportunity to stay level with Chittagong Abahani and Rahmatganj with a win, but instead they were on the receiving end of a defeat.

Muktijoddha is in risk of being demoted as the second club behind Azampur FC as a result of the defeat. On the other hand, Police have secured their position in the 11-team league as the third-placed side with 32 points after 19 matches.

During the game, the first half was dominated by the Police team thanks to goals scored by Venezuela’s Edward Enrique and India’s Joyonto Kumar Roy. In the second half of the competition, Johan Leandro of Colombia, Mohammad Abdullah, Enrique, and Shahed Mia each scored a goal for the Police team. The margin for error for Muktijoddha was narrowed by Emanuel Ikchukwu.

Due to the fact that all three teams still have two games remaining to play, the outcomes of Chittagong Abahani, Rahmatganj, and Muktijoddha will be determined in the following two rounds.
