Anisur Rahman Zico of Bangladesh was deemed to be the best goalkeeper during the SAFF Championship due to his exceptional performance throughout the competition.
Zico was named the tournament’s best goalie on Tuesday at the prize-giving event that followed the final, which India won by beating Kuwait in penalties to earn their record-extending eighth SAFF championship at the Sri Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium. The ceremony took place at the Sri Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium.

Last Saturday, when Javier Cabrera’s team was eliminated from the competition by a score of 1-0 against Kuwait, players from Bangladesh were able to walk away from the experience with their heads held high. Zico was only defeated in the first half of extra time in that game, despite making a lot of saves that kept Bangladesh in the competition.
Zico shined brightly throughout the competition and was a big reason why Bangladesh were able to accomplish their tournament goal of advancing to the semifinals of the SAFF Championship for the first time in 14 years.
On Monday, players from Bangladesh arrived back in their home nation.
