After missing time due to injury, Real Madrid winger Vinicius was picked on Saturday in the Brazil team for the next round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The 23-year-old hasn’t played since August 25 due to a hamstring injury he sustained against Celta Vigo, but he has healed more quickly than anticipated.
Although Vinicius was absent from the most recent international window, Brazil’s coach Fernando Diniz on Saturday added him back to the team for their matches against Uruguay five days later and Venezuela on October 13.
Brazil defeated Bolivia and Peru in both of their first-round qualifying matches.
