The Tigresses play the hosts today in the second game of the three-match ODI series. A confident Bangladesh national women’s side will be looking to seal the deal against South Africa. The daytime event is expected to begin around 6:00 p.m. Bangladesh time.
Nigar Sultana Joty and her team defeated South Africa in their backyard on Saturday, winning the first One-Day International by a commanding 119 runs in East London. In terms of runs in the format, it was also Bangladesh’s largest margin of victory.
Thanks to Murshida Khatun’s career-best unbeaten 91 off 100 balls, the Tigresses amassed 250 for three, their greatest total when batting first in ODIs. Bangladesh’s bowlers later bundle out the hosts for 131 to grab the lead in the series after an impressive all-around performance.
The hot-form Tigresses will be looking to carry on their momentum and win their first series in South Africa. They recently drew a home series against a formidable India team and won an ODI series against Pakistan.
Bangladesh and South Africa split the spoils of the previous three-match Twenty20 International series 1-1.
