Tamim Iqbal, the current captain of the Bangladesh One-Day International team, will represent Fortune Barishal in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League, according to a statement released by the franchise today.
Tamim Iqbal, the captain of Bangladesh’s one-day international team, has signed up to play for Fortune Barishal in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League. The release said that the chairman of Fortune Barishal, Mizanur Rahman, had verified that Tamim had signed a one-year agreement with the club.
Just one day after the cricketer abruptly reversed his decision to retire from international competition, it was announced that Tamim will be joining Fortune Barishal as a player.
Tamim played for Khulna Tigers in the previous season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), however his team did not go beyond the league stage.
