Tamim Iqbal, a batsman for Bangladesh, was hurt today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium while batting in the nets next to the indoor facilities.
In the nets, Tamim was facing Taskin Ahmed when a delivery struck his left index finger. Following the incident, the hitter left the nets and got preliminary care.
Then, with his finger bandaged, the opener was seen exiting the property.
On September 26, 2023, Tamim participated in his last international match as part of New Zealand’s ODI visit of Bangladesh.
Tamim has spent the last two days participating in online sessions.
Regarding the status of the injury, no formal announcement has been made.
On January 20, Tamim is expected to play for Fortune Barishal against Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League.
